What is a lactation consultant?
Lactation consultants can help you prepare for breastfeeding before baby is born all the way through the time you or your baby choose to wean. They serve as the expert. They are a wealth of information, an encourager, and they give you peace of mind that all is well. Their in-depth knowledge and hands-on assistance are invaluable in helping you through those first 4-6 weeks when you and your baby are learning the dance of breastfeeding.
