Debbie Page, RN, IBCLC

Debbie began working with Mothers & Babies in 1976 as an RN in Labor & Delivery. Throughout my career she has continued to work with babies and their families. Besides Labor & Delivery, she has cared for mothers and babies during their post partum hospital stay and as a visiting nurse after discharge from the hospital. She spent 3 years of her career working with families undergoing fertility treatments.

In 1998, she became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and has since worked with hundreds of mothers and babies helping them to succeed at breastfeeding. Debbie started a private practice in 2004 to help meet the needs of breastfeeding mothers in the community. She knows and understands the difficulty many women have trying to reach their breastfeeding goals in a society that is very much dominated by formula feeding. She has a special interest in latch difficulties and milk supply issues. Debbie networks with lactation consultants in private practice around the world to stay abreast of the ever evolving field of lactation.

Through the International Lactation Consultants Association, she writes study modules that are published in the Journal of Human Lactation and on ILCA's website.

In 2007 Debbie trained as an Infant Massage Instructor and fell in love with all aspects of Vimala McClure's method of infant massage. She is very interested in a holistic approach to welcoming the new born baby into the family and infant massage fits right in. She loves lullabies and story telling and has future plans to develop along with Madeline Browning a program designed to help mothers learn rhymes and sing lullabies, as well as tell their stories to their babies.

Debbie is the mother of 3 breastfed (now adult) children. Her difficulty nursing her firstborn probably provided the framework for her passion to help mothers and babies succeed at breastfeeding.

Gail Chaffee, RN, IBCLC

Gail Chaffee , RN, IBCLC

As a registered nurse and board certified lactation consultant, Gail has extensive experience working within the Maternal Child field. She has worked many years in labor and delivery and post partum.

Gail currently sees mothers and babies for lactation consultations at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, MA while they are in the hospital and after they are discharged, as well as privately through Visiting Lactation Consultants. She runs a monthly support group for mothers and babies at Heywood Hospital. Her gentle approach to helping mothers and babies has won her rave reviews.

She is the mother of 3 breastfed (now adults) children and the grandmother of a precious breastfeeding baby.

Madeline Browning

Madeline Browning, CLC, CD, Music Educator

Madeline Browning has a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA. She earned an Elementary Education Degree from St. Mary’s College, Moraga, CA, and an Orff Shulwerk Music Education Certificate from UMASS Lowell. Madeline has taught elementary music in the public schools of Harvard and Shrewsbury, MA, and teaches flute and recorder at the Joy of Music Program, Worcester, MA. Madeline is also an accomplished musician and plays professionally on both flute and recorder.

Madeline’s passion for breastfeeding and nurturing the newborn baby has led to becoming a Childbirth Doula (ALACE), Certified Lactation Counselor and Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (July, 2009).

Madeline is married and the mother of two adult children.
